Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Trivela mobile application ("App") and the Trivela website at trivela.app ("Site"), collectively referred to as the "Services".
Trivela is currently operated by four co-founders as an unregistered project based in Sweden ("we", "us", or "our"). We are not yet a formally incorporated legal entity.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services. These Terms apply to all users, including waitlist registrants, beta testers, and registered app users.
1. The Services
1.1 Description
Trivela is a gamified social platform for football fans. The Services include head-to-head naming games, global leaderboards, trophy systems, and community features. The App is available on iOS and Android.
1.2 Beta Status
The Services are currently in open beta. This means:
- Features may be incomplete, changed, or removed without notice
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation
- Data (including game scores and leaderboard positions) may be reset during the beta period
- We reserve the right to discontinue the beta at any time
Your continued use of the Services during beta indicates acceptance of these limitations.
1.3 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you confirm that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.
The Services are intended for personal, non-commercial use only.
2. Accounts
2.1 Registration
To access certain features of the App, you must create an account. You may register using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or an email address and password.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.
2.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or suspected breach by contacting contact@jointrivela.com.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.
2.3 One Account Per User
You may only maintain one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, manipulate leaderboards, or gain unfair advantages is prohibited.
3. Acceptable Use
By using the Services, you agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Harass, threaten, bully, or harm other users
- Post or transmit content that is defamatory, discriminatory, offensive, obscene, or infringes the rights of any third party
- Attempt to manipulate game results, leaderboards, or scoring systems
- Create fake or bot accounts
- Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with the Services without our express written consent
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, servers, or networks connected to the Services
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services or other users' accounts
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any user who violates these rules, including suspension or termination of their account.
4. User Content
4.1 Your Content
The Services may allow you to submit content, including profile photos, usernames, and other information ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.
4.2 Licence to Trivela
By submitting User Content, you grant Trivela a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Services. This licence ends when you delete your content or your account.
4.3 Content Standards
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that your User Content does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate at our sole discretion.
4.4 Reporting and Moderation
If you encounter User Content or behaviour that you believe violates these Terms, you can report it directly within the App using the report function on any user profile. We review reports and take action — including content removal, warnings, or account suspension — at our discretion. For urgent concerns, contact us at contact@jointrivela.com.
We do not guarantee the removal of all reported content, but we are committed to maintaining a fair and enjoyable environment for all users.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Services — including but not limited to the Trivela name, logo, game mechanics, visual design, software, and text — are owned by or licensed to Trivela and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our prior written consent.
These Terms do not grant you any rights to use the Trivela name, logos, or other trademarks.
6. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services integrate with third-party services including Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, and Firebase. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services.
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of such external sites.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Any results obtained from the use of the Services will be accurate or reliable
- Any defects or errors will be corrected
Because Trivela is in beta and operated by an unregistered team, the Services may be subject to limitations and interruptions beyond those typical of a fully launched product.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TRIVELA AND ITS CO-FOUNDERS, TEAM MEMBERS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.
TO THE EXTENT THAT ANY LIABILITY IS NOT EXCLUDED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED SEK 500 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Swedish law.
9. Termination
9.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the Services at any time. You can delete your account directly within the App by going to **Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account** and confirming your choice. This will permanently remove your account and associated data from our systems within 30 days.
If you are unable to access the App, you may also request account deletion by contacting us at contact@jointrivela.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
9.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if you pose a risk to the Services or other users, or for any other reason at our discretion.
9.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Disclaimers), 8 (Limitation of Liability), and 11 (Governing Law) survive termination.
10. Changes to the Services and Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Services, or any part of them, at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, by email or in-app notification.
Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts.

12. Miscellaneous
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Trivela regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements.
Language: These Terms are written in English. In the event of a conflict between an English version and a translated version, the English version shall prevail.
